Very relaxed start to our day with Skip taking advantage of the chance to sleep in.

We watched Joel Osteen at 10:30 and heard another meaningful message, God uses all things for our good even the things that we don’t understand or challenge us. Nothing is wasted.

After our breakfast of sausage egg cheese grits bowls and kitchen cleanup, I did my exercises at the picnic table in the 65 degree sunny weather. Together we took a walk to the Mash Fork Falls about a half mile from our campsite. The dirt road was between water splashing in the creek on one side and forested mountain on the other side as we made our way to the falls. A lady stopped us along the way to let us know she had just seen two copperhead snakes crossing from one ditch to the other. We did not encounter them at all. For us it was a nice walk in the moderate temperatures with cool drinks handy when we returned to ChILL.

Skip put out the awning and I setup our strongback chairs and we just relaxed in comfort surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. Yellow butterflies too numerous to count were playing in the gentle breeze. Birds were chirping, bees were buzzing and in this peaceful setting even the yellow dandelions added to the charm.

A snack and NASCAR on TV for Skip and a good book for me highlighted our afternoon. I made barbecued chicken on the stove along with couscous and a salad for dinner.

As the Eagles’ song says, “I got a peaceful easy feelin’ and I know you won’t let me down cause I’m already standin’ on the ground.” What a great place to be peacefully standing on the ground.
